Bauer GSX Senior Goalie Pants
Intro & New Features
For the recreational goalie that skates 1-2 times per week, Bauer has introduced the GSX line. The GSX goalie pants provides the protection needed and performs at a good level for less competitive levels of hockey.
External Material
Similar to previous models, Bauer chose a lightweight and tough nylon material to cover the majority of the pant, providing excellent durability and protection, in addition to mesh material for breathability and stretchy fabric in the back to offer good mobility and flexibility.
Fit
The fit of the GSX pant caters to a wide range of goalies, whether they prefer a tighter or looser fit. Various sections of the pants can be adjusted through belts, laces, and extensions.
Waist Closure & Internal Belt
The Bauer GSX pants feature a removable internal comfort belt to ensure the perfect fit, in addition to an external belt. The GSX pant keeps the traditional look and fit from the previous iteration with the skate lace style waist closure, and stretch spandex opening that allows for lots of maneuverability.
Thigh Protection
To protect the thighs, Bauer implemented these pants with a multi-layered stacked protection design. This construction allows the thigh padding to shield the thighs and provide protection and coverage by absorbing impacts and dispersing force away from the body.
Hip Protection
The hips are protected with dual density foam. This design combined rigid, high-density foam for impact absorption with softer, lower-density foam for comfort and mobility. This is critical for goalie mobility, preventing the padding from hindering movement or shifting out of place during the game. It also features Dynamic 2 flex technology on the front of the hips to provide good protection and flexibility.
Liner
The inside of the pants feature a Thermomax liner, which is designed to manage moisture and keep players dry during intense gameplay. It is constructed with moisture-wicking material that helps to draw sweat away from the body and accelerate evaporation, promoting a more comfortable and odor-free experience.
