The Bauer X-LS 2.0 Youth Hockey Skates are designed for the recreational player. If you’re looking for a great first experience, or do not skate regularly, these skates are a perfect choice. Some new features added to this skate are the 3D Poly Carbon quarter package, 30oz felt tongue, and Microfiber liner inside the boot.

Skate Fit Profile

The Bauer X-LS 2.0 is engineered to be an entry level skate. Because of this, the fit profile is universal. It is designed to cater to the average foot shape. In addition, this boot only comes in a regular width.

Boot Construction & Stiffness Profile

The composition of the X-LS consists of the 3D Poly carbon quarter package. This material allows the boot to have the right portion of support and flexibility for players looking to stay comfortable while enjoying the game.

Liner & Internal Padding

The X-LS line features the Microfiber liner. Bauer has also added Anafrom pads in the ankles for added protection and comfort.

Tongue

The 30oz felt tongue gives players great comfort and protection from impacts while on the ice. The tongue wraps the upper portion of the foot, giving the player an extra layer of protection.

Insoles

The footbed is made up of low-density foam, which is a common cushioning foam found in various models of Bauer skates. This construction of foam helps increase comfort while wearing the skates, by adding a more familiar feel to the sole.

Lacing System

New to the Youth X-LS skates are the quick and easy Velcro straps. These replace the traditional lacing system only in the youth sizing for quick and easy wear. The Velcro straps are perfect for the first time hockey players.

Holders & Steel

Bauer used the LS Pro 3 holders when designing these skates. They are created to hold the stainless steel in place while you skate, providing a good balance between balance, and edge retention. Although this combination does not allow you to interchange the blades, the 13 foot radius makes it easier for kids to balance out on the ice.
