The CCM Tacks XR Hockey Shin Guards are designed to provide performance-level support for hockey players. Designed with comfort and protection in mind, these shin guards have integrated compress molded EVA foam, an injected molded shin cap, and mid density foam with PE plastic reinforced side guards. Available in a variety of sizes, these shin guards are a great option for hockey players.
Construction
Designed with a Max Coverage FZN shield design, this new injection molded shin cap is fused with an inner plastic sling to provide improved protection on both sides and self conforming calf protection to make sure you’re ready to take on the worst of impacts.
Calf Protection
The calves are protected with a compress-molded EVA foam and plastic reinforcement construction. This premium calf guard protection features added D30 Zero foam for extra impact and shock absorption, giving players elite-level protection.
Knee Cap Protection
CCM designed the knees on these shin guards to be both comfortable and protective. They constructed these shin guards with an injected kneecap and protective comfort donut, which are designed to provide better support to the knee, and distribute impact force away from the knee joint.
Shin Protection
The shins are protected with a new injected molded shin cap design. CCM included this elite-strength shin cap with landing to lock in place that is coupled with a D30 foam reinforcement at the bottom for maximum protection against impacts. They also feature an extra durable liner that prevents rubbing on the inside of the lower area of the pad. These shin guards also feature added thigh protection through a compress-molded EVA foam flexmotion thigh guard, providing pro-level protection that is removable and adjustable.
Strapping System
To keep the shin guards in place, the Tacks XR shin guards feature a length adjustable dual calf strap, with a padded Hyper X lock strap. The length-adjustable calf straps are designed to wrap around any size calf comfortably while the Hyper X lock strap keeps the shins snug and in place all game long.
Liner
The inside of the shin guards features a removable liner with a padded knee donut. The bottom portion of the lining is removable and allows players to customize their fit, whether they prefer to wear their skates tongues in or out, for a closer to the leg snug protection.
